The book of Revelation speaks of two women. One is pure and faithful to God and the other is a harlot that prostitutes itself to the kings. These women represent religions who are either faithful to God or meddle in politics. The harlot ends up getting destroyed by the nations. This is what we are seeing. We are seeing the religions that have meddled in politics being destroyed.
